30 Days of Thanksgiving: MacbookPro.
All throughout college, I wanted a MacBook Pro to write and use for school. I remember seeing other students with sleek, high-tech laptops...while I had a chunky, loud Dell. (Sorry Dell...it is what it is. Lol.) I didn't have an extra $1000 lying around, so I had to wait. I was tempted to make it happen in my own strength, but the doors kept closing in my face. About two years ago, my husband & I agreed it was time to make the investment and set a goal to get the Pro. We did our part to save, and God did His part to bless us along the way. On December 30, 2010, we paid cash for our Pro and had it just in time for the new year, which was our stretch goal! Today, I am able to use this computer to write and am so excited for what will come from these keys...
Thank you, Father, for this tool to encourage people and advance Your kingdom.
So I'd like to ask you, are you waiting on a desire of your heart? Are you trusting God along the way, or trying to make it happen in your own strength? Let me encourage you, God is able. It may not happen according to your time frame, but it will be right on time. There's nothing wrong with running after your dreams and desires, but make sure you're waiting while you're running.
But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)
Wait on the Lord. Trust Him. Rest.
